Welcome to Boethos!
A Story of Hope Born from Purpose
Every great ministry begins with a calling—a moment when God whispers to the heart and says, "This is your purpose." For Boethos Ministries, that moment came in 2023 when founders Kim and Denver witnessed firsthand the profound need for genuine, compassionate support in their community. They saw families struggling in silence, individuals facing overwhelming challenges alone, and hearts yearning for both practical help and spiritual hope.
The name "Boethos" isn't just a title—it's our identity. Derived from the Greek word boethos meaning "helper" or "one who runs to aid," Boethos perfectly captures the heart of our ministry. Just as the early Christians were called to be helpers to one another, we believe we are called to be the hands and feet of Christ, running toward those who need support, not away from their struggles.
Kim brings a unique blend of professional expertise and pastoral heart to Boethos Ministries. With years of experience in leading small groups, one-on-one life coaching, and walking with others through grief and loss, she has witnessed the transformative power of combining practical support with spiritual encouragement.
Her journey into ministry began when she realized that true healing happens when we address both the immediate needs and the deeper longings of the human heart. "I've learned that people don't just need solutions—they need someone to believe in their potential for transformation," Kim shares.
Her approach combines professional insight with genuine compassion, creating a safe space where individuals can find both practical guidance and renewed hope for their future. Kim is a certified life coach who specializes in discipleship, mental health, and helping people through grief and loss with compassion and empathy.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and retired from being a homeschool teacher. She is a board-certified master mental health coach and certified professional Christian life coach.
Denver's path to ministry was paved with his own experiences of overcoming life's challenges and discovering the incredible power of community support. He graduated from the Air Force Academy in 1997. As a pilot, he flew the KC-135 all over the world supporting multiple combat zones and taught political science at the Academy, eventually retiring in 2018. He currently flies for a commercial airline while helping others learn more about finances.
"Every person who walks through our doors carries a story of resilience, even if they can't see it yet," Denver explains. His gift lies in helping others recognize their own strength while providing the practical tools and spiritual foundation needed for lasting transformation. This conversation includes help with understanding mindset, budgeting, consistency, basics of banking and financing functions, investments, and avoiding common pitfalls.
Kim and Denver have been married for 28 years, and live in Colorado Springs, CO.Denver is a numbers guy who provides financial coaching. With a background in project management, leadership, and discipleship, he understands that lasting change happens when we invest in people, not just programs.
Our Mission: Where Hope Meets Action
At Boethos Ministries, we believe that everyone deserves a helper—someone who will stand beside them during life's most challenging moments. We exist to bridge the gap between where people are and where God is calling them to be. Our mission isn't just about meeting immediate needs; it's about igniting hope, fostering transformation, and empowering individuals to become the best versions of themselves.
We've discovered that miracles happen in the ordinary moments: when someone receives not just food for their table, but encouragement for their soul; when a person finds not just temporary assistance, but a community that believes in their future; when struggles become stepping stones to a stronger, more purposeful life.
The Boethos Difference: More Than Help, It's Hope
What sets Boethos Ministries apart isn't just what we do—it's how we do it. We approach every interaction with the understanding that behind every need is a person created with infinite worth and unlimited potential. We don't just offer assistance; we offer relationship. We don't just provide resources; we provide encouragement. We don't just meet immediate needs; we invest in long-term transformation.
Our programs are designed with one central truth in mind: when people feel valued, supported, and believed in, they don't just survive their challenges—they thrive beyond them.
A Community of Transformation
Since our founding, we've had the incredible privilege of witnessing countless stories of transformation. We've seen families move from crisis to stability, individuals discover their purpose through their pain, and entire communities strengthened by the ripple effects of hope in action.
But perhaps the most beautiful part of our story is that it's still being written. Every day brings new opportunities to be helpers, new chances to run toward those in need, and new possibilities for transformation—both in the lives we serve and in our own hearts.
Your Invitation to Join the Story
Whether you're seeking support, looking to volunteer, or feeling called to partner with us, you have a place in the Boethos story. Because here's what we've learned: when we come together as helpers, when we choose to run toward need instead of away from it, when we believe in the power of transformation—that's when ordinary people become part of extraordinary change.
At Boethos Ministries, we're not just helping people through their challenges—we're helping them discover that their challenges can become the very foundation for their greatest victories.
"And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching." - Hebrews 10:24-25
